This event will light up Rainbow Park in Nishi Kasai with colourful traditional dances, mesmerising cultural performances, and mouth-watering Indian delicacies!
Garba and Dandiya are traditional folk dances originating from Gujarat, India, performed to honour the divine feminine power. These dances are not just about movement but about creating an atmosphere of joy, devotion, and unity.
π Garba involves graceful circular movements around a central lamp or image of Goddess Durga, symbolising the cyclical nature of life.
πΊ Dandiya is performed with rhythmic clapping of sticks, representing the battle between Goddess Durga and the demon Mahishasura, signifying the victory of good over evil.
